Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

By purchasing a Journey, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement.

BRTLS SERVICES
4. The nature of BRTLS
BRTLS provides educational and personal-development services designed to help fathers better understand themselves, their circumstances and different aspects of everyday fatherhood.
BRTLS may include:
- educational articles and resources;
- structured reflection;
- the Fatherhood Discovery;
- personalised results;
- AI-supported personalised guidance;
- practical possibilities to explore;
- Development Reviews and assessments;
- updated guidance based on information provided by the participant;
- access to relevant paid digital content and functionality.
The precise features available may develop over time.
Personalised elements may differ between participants depending on the information provided and how the service is used.
BRTLS does not promise that every participant will receive identical guidance, content or results.
5. Fatherhood Discovery
The BRTLS Fatherhood Discovery is a free structured reflection designed to help fathers understand their current situation.
The Discovery may ask questions about different areas of life and use the answers provided to generate personalised results.
The Discovery:
- is not a medical or psychological assessment;
- is not a diagnostic instrument;
- does not determine whether someone is a good or bad father;
- does not provide a clinical diagnosis;
- does not replace professional healthcare or other appropriate support.
Personalised Discovery results are intended for educational, reflective and personal-development purposes.
Completing the free Discovery does not create an obligation to purchase a paid Fatherhood Journey.
Information about the processing of Discovery responses and other personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy.
BRTLS FATHERHOOD JOURNEY
6. What the Fatherhood Journey provides
The BRTLS Fatherhood Journey is a personalised digital personal-development service offered for a fixed duration.
It builds on the Fatherhood Discovery and is designed to help fathers explore practical possibilities, take them into everyday life and learn from what happens.
Depending on the service and the information provided, a Journey may include:
- personalised digital guidance;
- AI-supported guidance;
- practical possibilities for everyday exploration;
- Development Reviews and assessments;
- updated personal results and development directions;
- access to relevant BRTLS knowledge and digital content;
- opportunities to revisit personal circumstances as life changes.
The Fatherhood Journey is not individual therapy, medical care, psychological treatment or clinical occupational therapy.
Unless expressly included in a particular offer, it does not include individual coaching or unrestricted personal access to BRTLS's founder or another professional.
The essential characteristics and included features of the selected Journey are presented before purchase and further described in the Fatherhood Journey Terms.
7. Available durations and prices
The BRTLS Fatherhood Journey is available in three fixed-duration options:
Fatherhood JourneyDurationPrice90-Day Journey90 consecutive days€199180-Day Journey180 consecutive days€349365-Day Journey365 consecutive days€599
Each Journey uses the same underlying personalised BRTLS approach.
The main difference is the amount of time available for development, reflection and adjustment.
The full price of the selected Journey is paid once upfront.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, consumer prices include applicable VAT.
The selected duration, total price and essential characteristics are confirmed before the purchase is completed.
8. Beginning and duration of your Journey
Your Fatherhood Journey begins when your purchase has been successfully completed and paid access has been activated.
The selected duration runs for the corresponding number of consecutive calendar days from the activation date.
BRTLS will provide or make available information about your purchased duration and expected end date.
Your purchase covers the selected fixed-duration Journey.
If the service is not activated or supplied as agreed, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. No automatic renewal
The BRTLS Fatherhood Journey does not automatically renew.
Your purchased Journey ends automatically after its selected 90-, 180- or 365-day duration.
There are no automatic monthly payments or recurring subscription charges associated with that purchase.
You do not need to cancel to prevent future payments.
BRTLS will not automatically enrol you in another paid Journey.
If you wish to continue, you may purchase another available Journey through a separate transaction.
Any new purchase requires a separate purchasing decision and payment authorisation.
10. Ending or continuing your Journey
You may stop using your Fatherhood Journey at any time.
Choosing to stop using the service does not, by itself, terminate the purchased fixed-duration agreement or create an automatic entitlement to a partial refund.
Your rights under the 30-day money-back guarantee and applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
When your purchased Journey ends, access to paid features and ongoing personalised guidance may end.
Any continued access to previous results, downloadable materials or free BRTLS content depends on the functionality made available and applicable legal requirements.
Purchasing another Journey is entirely optional.
For further details, see the Fatherhood Journey Terms.
WITHDRAWAL AND REFUNDS
11. Statutory right of withdrawal
Consumers purchasing a Fatherhood Journey online generally have a statutory right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days after the agreement is concluded, without giving a reason, subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.
BRTLS may allow the digital service to begin during the statutory withdrawal period.
Where legally required, BRTLS will obtain the appropriate request or consent for early performance.
The legal consequences of starting a digital service or supplying digital content during the withdrawal period depend on applicable consumer law.
Acceptance of these Terms alone does not constitute a waiver of statutory withdrawal rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes a statutory right of withdrawal.
12. How to exercise your right of withdrawal
You may exercise an applicable statutory right of withdrawal by sending a clear statement of your decision to:
You may also use the online withdrawal functionality provided by BRTLS.
The Model Withdrawal Form is available for your convenience, but its use is not mandatory.
You do not need to explain your decision.
It is sufficient to communicate your decision within the applicable statutory withdrawal period.
Where required by law, BRTLS will provide an accessible online withdrawal method and confirmation of the withdrawal request.
13. Additional 30-day money-back guarantee
In addition to applicable statutory consumer rights, BRTLS offers a voluntary 30-day money-back guarantee on Fatherhood Journey purchases.
The guarantee applies to all three development windows:
- 90 days — €199;
- 180 days — €349;
- 365 days — €599.
If you decide within 30 calendar days after purchasing that the Journey is not right for you, you may request a full refund of the amount paid for that Journey.
No explanation is required.
You may use the guarantee even if you have already started using the service or completed Development Reviews.
The guarantee does not depend on completing particular activities.
A refund request must be communicated within the 30-day guarantee period.
Once a full refund has been processed, paid Journey access may be terminated.
This voluntary guarantee does not replace, shorten or restrict statutory consumer rights.
14. Refund processing
Refunds will be processed in accordance with the applicable statutory requirements or the voluntary money-back guarantee.
For valid statutory withdrawal, reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline.
Eligible refunds under the 30-day guarantee will normally be processed within 14 calendar days after BRTLS receives the request.
Unless otherwise agreed, refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
BRTLS does not charge an administration fee for eligible withdrawal or guarantee refunds.
For further information, please read the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
PAYMENTS
15. Prices and payment authorisation
The total price of a paid BRTLS product or service will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, consumer prices include applicable VAT.
By placing an order, you authorise BRTLS and its payment providers to charge the payment method selected for the purchase you expressly approve.
For a Fatherhood Journey, this is a single upfront payment covering the selected fixed duration.
Purchasing a Fatherhood Journey does not authorise recurring payments or automatic renewal.
BRTLS may use third-party payment providers to process transactions.
BRTLS does not require payment-card details through ordinary contact forms, Fatherhood Discovery questions or Development Reviews.
16. Failed or incorrect payments
If a payment cannot be processed, BRTLS or its payment provider may request that you update your payment information or retry the payment where permitted.
Paid access may be delayed until payment has been successfully completed.
Where an amount is validly due and remains unpaid, BRTLS may take reasonable steps consistent with applicable law.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or more than once, please contact info@brtls.store.
BRTLS will investigate and correct payment errors where appropriate.
PERSONALISED GUIDANCE
17. Assessments and Development Reviews
The Fatherhood Journey is designed to respond to relevant changes in your circumstances.
During your Journey, you may be invited to complete Development Reviews, reflections or assessments at designated stages.
Information you provide may be used to update your personalised guidance, results and development direction.
Some forms of personalisation require sufficiently current information.
If you do not complete a requested Review or provide relevant updated information, some personalised features may remain based on earlier information or may be limited until new information becomes available.
You are not required to implement every suggestion made by BRTLS.
Failure to complete a Review does not automatically end your purchased Journey.
The essential features included in your purchase remain subject to BRTLS's contractual obligations and applicable consumer law.
18. AI-supported personalised guidance
BRTLS may use artificial intelligence and automated systems to help generate, adapt or organise personalised guidance using:
- information you provide;
- relevant previous BRTLS assessments or interactions;
- the BRTLS knowledge base;
- BRTLS-developed frameworks and methodology;
- other information lawfully processed for this purpose.
AI-generated or AI-supported guidance is provided for educational and personal-development purposes.
It should not be interpreted as medical, psychological, diagnostic, therapeutic or other healthcare advice.
AI systems can make mistakes, misunderstand context or generate incomplete or inappropriate information.
You remain responsible for deciding whether a suggestion is appropriate to explore in your own circumstances.
Where a situation requires medical, psychological, legal, financial or other qualified professional advice, you should seek appropriate professional support rather than relying on BRTLS.
For further information, see our Disclaimer.
19. No guaranteed personal outcome
Personal development is individual and context-dependent.
BRTLS does not guarantee that:
- a particular suggestion will work for you;
- a Journey will produce a specific personal or family outcome;
- a difficulty will improve within a particular period;
- completing the Discovery or Journey will make you a particular kind of father;
- personalised guidance will always identify the most appropriate course of action.
BRTLS is designed to support understanding, reflection and practical exploration in everyday life.
Results depend on many factors outside BRTLS's control.
Nothing in this section limits statutory rights concerning the proper supply and conformity of the digital service.
ACCOUNTS AND ACCEPTABLE USE
20. Personal accounts
Where a BRTLS service requires an account, that account is personal to you.
You are responsible for keeping login details reasonably secure and for activity attributable to your use or failure to safeguard those details.
If you believe someone has gained unauthorised access to your account, please contact BRTLS promptly.
21. Account sharing
Paid Fatherhood Journey access may not be shared with another person.
This restriction is particularly important because guidance may be personalised using information supplied by the individual account holder.
Allowing another person to use your account could result in guidance based on inaccurate or mixed information.
You may not sell, transfer, sublicense or otherwise provide another person with access to your paid Journey account without permission.
22. Acceptable use
You may not use BRTLS:
- unlawfully or fraudulently;
- to interfere with the operation or security of the service;
- to attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
- to copy or systematically extract substantial parts of BRTLS content or databases;
- to train, develop or supply competing commercial systems using protected BRTLS content without permission;
- to impersonate another person;
- to provide knowingly false information for fraudulent purposes;
- to infringe the rights of BRTLS or another person.
Reasonable personal use of BRTLS content for your own development is permitted.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
23. BRTLS intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, BRTLS owns or lawfully uses the intellectual property rights in its website, content, branding, designs, visual materials, methodologies and BRTLS-developed concepts.
These may include materials relating to:
- BRTLS;
- the Fatherhood Compass;
- the Fatherhood Framework;
- the Fatherhood Domains;
- Universal Transitions;
- BRTLS Principles;
- Fatherhood Discovery;
- Fatherhood Journey;
- BRTLS-developed assessments, prompts, structures and guidance;
- written and visual content.
Purchasing a Fatherhood Journey provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the relevant BRTLS service for your own personal purposes during the purchased access period.
It does not transfer ownership of BRTLS intellectual property.
24. Restrictions on use of BRTLS content
Without prior written permission from BRTLS, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, commercially distribute or create substantially derivative commercial products from protected BRTLS content, except where applicable law permits.
You may not present BRTLS-developed models or materials as your own work.
Normal sharing of links to publicly available BRTLS pages is permitted.
Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted under applicable copyright or other mandatory law.
SERVICE OPERATION
25. Availability
BRTLS aims to keep its digital services reasonably available.
However, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of:
- maintenance;
- updates;
- technical failures;
- third-party service interruptions;
- security requirements;
- circumstances outside BRTLS's reasonable control.
Where an interruption affects a paid digital service, statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
26. Changes to BRTLS
BRTLS may update content, functionality, assessments, interfaces, guidance systems or other aspects of its services.
Changes to digital services supplied over a purchased period will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.
BRTLS will not use this provision to arbitrarily remove essential features included in a purchased Fatherhood Journey or restrict mandatory consumer rights.
Where applicable law provides a right to terminate because a modification materially and negatively affects access to or use of a digital service, that right remains unaffected.
HEALTHCARE AND PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
27. BRTLS is not healthcare
BRTLS is an educational and personal-development platform.
Although its founder is an occupational therapist, BRTLS itself is not occupational therapy.
Using BRTLS does not create a therapist–patient relationship.
BRTLS does not provide:
- medical diagnosis;
- psychological diagnosis;
- psychotherapy;
- medical treatment;
- individual clinical occupational therapy;
- crisis care;
- emergency services.
Information you provide to BRTLS should not be understood as being submitted as part of a clinical healthcare relationship.
28. When professional support may be appropriate
Some experiences related to fatherhood, relationships, health, mood, functioning or wellbeing may require professional assessment or support.
BRTLS should not be used to delay or replace appropriate healthcare or other professional assistance.
If you believe you or another person may be in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, contact the appropriate local emergency or crisis service.
For further information, see the Disclaimer.
PRIVACY
29. Personal data
BRTLS processes personal data in connection with services such as:
- account administration;
- Fatherhood Discovery;
- personalised results;
- Fatherhood Journey;
- Development Reviews;
- personalised guidance;
- payments and purchases;
- communications;
- service improvement.
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.
Because personalised guidance may depend on information you provide, please review the Privacy Policy before using personalised BRTLS services.
30. Third-party providers
BRTLS may rely on third-party technology providers for parts of its services, including website hosting, ecommerce, payment processing, assessments, email communication, analytics and AI-supported functionality.
Those providers may process information as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy notices.
Using third-party technology does not remove BRTLS's obligations where BRTLS remains legally responsible for providing the contracted service.
TERMINATION
31. Suspension or termination by BRTLS
BRTLS may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary, including in cases of:
- fraud;
- unlawful use;
- serious or repeated violation of these Terms;
- unauthorised account sharing;
- attempts to compromise BRTLS systems or security;
- serious abuse directed at BRTLS, its users or service providers;
- non-payment of amounts validly due.
Where reasonably possible and appropriate, BRTLS may first provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Any suspension or termination will be exercised reasonably and subject to applicable consumer law.
Where BRTLS terminates a paid service without a valid reason attributable to the customer, this clause does not remove any right to an appropriate refund or other remedy.
LIABILITY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
32. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or waives rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Consumers may have statutory rights relating to:
- supply of digital services;
- conformity with the agreement;
- remedies for defective or non-conforming digital services;
- withdrawal from distance contracts;
- unfair contractual terms;
- data protection.
If these Terms conflict with mandatory consumer law applicable to you, mandatory law prevails.
33. Responsibility of BRTLS
BRTLS is responsible for providing paid digital services in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, BRTLS is not responsible for losses resulting solely from:
- treating educational or personal-development information as professional healthcare advice;
- using BRTLS contrary to these Terms or clear instructions;
- independent decisions made by a participant where BRTLS did not guarantee a particular outcome;
- circumstances outside BRTLS's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
COMPLAINTS
34. Contacting us about a problem
If you experience a problem with BRTLS, please contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, resolve it.
Email: info@brtls.store
Please provide enough information to understand the issue, such as the email address associated with your account and a description of what happened.
Do not send payment-card details by email.
We aim to handle complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Any statutory rights to pursue other remedies remain unaffected.
GOVERNING LAW
35. Applicable law
These Terms and agreements with BRTLS are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer resident in another European Union Member State, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply under the law that would otherwise be applicable.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive mandatory rights concerning jurisdiction or dispute resolution.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
36. Updates
BRTLS may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- changes to BRTLS services;
- changes in applicable law;
- new functionality;
- security requirements;
- changes in relevant third-party services;
- clarification of existing provisions.
The version applicable when you enter into an agreement remains relevant to that agreement, subject to lawful changes applicable to an ongoing digital service.
Where a material change affects a purchased Fatherhood Journey, BRTLS will provide information where required by law.
We will not use changes to these Terms to remove mandatory consumer rights.
The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last updated.
